REFLECTION #8

Class was FUN!!!

Creating my Word Documents and Spreed Sheet was like a revision to me. The software are very important in our everyday life and it makes life easier. 

WORD PROCESSOR is a software use to on a computer letting person create, store and print documents.

SPREED SHEET is a computer program in which figures arranged in the rows and columns of a grid can be manipulated and used in calculations.

 It came to my attention though that the Spreed Sheet can be use to the teacher and students  advantage. In a classroom I can use it to record and maintain student grades, create tables for different subjects and maintaining attendance sheet. The students can use to Perform calculation. present graphs and charts. The Word Processor can be used to make graphs, Plan a lesson and create and activity.

Week 7

Hello my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In week 7 I learned about the Assure model. The Assure model is a model use for planning lesson and the technology use to enhance the lesson. The acronym in The Assure model stand for: Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select Methods, Media and Materials, Utilize Media and Materials, Require Learner Participation and Evaluate and Revise. It is important to have a lesson plan (The Assure Model) so the teacher can be well prepared for her class and add in or correct what she had missed. Planning a lesson is very important in order in the managing and the completing of the task.


The week came up even more exciting when we had to explore Windows Media Movie Maker on our own. My group and I made a movie on Transportation which was pretty amazing and cool.The teacher can use Movie Maker for Demonstrating, Explaining, Intervening, Providing Feedback and Questioning students. The students can use Movie Maker to inform or struct others about a task and inspire someone by the information they have given.

WEEK 6

(7th and 9th October, 2013) POD casting was the task for that week.

The week of class was vibrant when Mrs.Greene came to class an Introduce POD cast which sparked a new sense of curiosity and excitement in everyone. We were indulge in an activity whereas we had to make a POD cast with Mrs.Greene it was real fun.

POD in pod cast stand for Personal On Demand. In class I learned that Pod cast is audio system use for recording information. In the a classroom POD cast can be use a variety of ways like to personalize a video by adding your own voice or if your in a group  to research a topic you can add your group members saying a specific part.

 In groups we had to make a POD cast and decided to make one to Mrs.Greene to thank her for contributing such useful information to the class. After the post the Podcast will be available to you. POD cast can be used to  bring across school events, lessons and instruction when their is a substitute teacher in the absence of their regular teacher.

Week 5 Reflection

Hello My Friends!!!

In last weeks class I learnt how to add person to my blog to make them a contributor. I also manage to critically review and critique my group members blog. Also I was amazed to find out that there was an easy way to  print screen  a document. In creating a blog it has helped me to explore a variety of things like how to do a task in more than one way. It is wonderful to see how much I can learn when observing and take notes in class.My blog below:

Reflection Week 3

Hello out there!!

My class last week was cool.

 In Monday's class we had to follow some instructions that was given to us. Part of the instruction given I was to research about Digital Native and Digital Immigrant and going into the research I found out a lot about Digital Native that led me to the conclusion that  I was a Digital Native.

Wednesdays class came like a breeze.We were placed into group to complete a task which wasn't difficult and at the end we had to make a presentation about it which was exciting.

I can't wait to see what is in store for the next class.

Reflection: Week 2

This weeks classes were good. We spoke about the four types of Learning concepts: Behaviorism, Construtavism, Cognativism and Psycho-social theory.  I have answered a questionnaire on my learning styles and I found out something interesting. But I thank god for my classmates because they were so  helpful. Below is the results from the questionnaire:

Week 1 Reflection

My first week of EDET was interesting.

My classmates are very different but  friendly.

 Educational Technology is the use of Technology to make learning easier. I learned how technology can improve learning and the varieties of device used to integrate technology. The class had to research some information for our PowerPoint presentation in that we had to define learning and what our future classroom would look like.

     After is my PowerPoint presentation on Concept of Learning. The tutor was quiet nice and kept the class alive. For this EDET class I expect to get a better understanding of the the course and to make teaching creative and informative in the classroom.
